Bulwell Community Toy Library

Bulwell Community Toy Library is facing difficulty. For three years running it has seen its funding cut dramatically. They are not alone in this but never the less it has made them think about how to make up the short fall.

We met with Steve Parkinson, who heads the organisation, to chat about a possible updating of the website. (www.toy-library.co.uk) During the course of the conversation it became clear that the Library had plans underway to establish charged services to help support the charity’s ongoing work.

Third sector media worked with Bulwell Community Toy Library to prepare a low cost launch campaign for the new Toy Packs For Hire service. We produced a colourful A5 flyer detailing the service offer that is to be sent directly to the Library’s professional child care contacts all across the city of Nottingham. To support this we produced a press release promoting the new service in the local media.

Within 24 hours of the press release going out Steve was live on BBC Radio Nottingham and contacted by Nottingham Evening Post regarding the new service.

We wish the Library the very best of luck with their first steps into Social Entrepreneurship and look forward to working with them again soon.
